The Asbestos Contractors Group are a co-sponsor of the Victorian Trades Hall Councils 9th Annual Health and Safety Representatives Annual Occupational Health and Safety Representative’s Conference at the Melbourne Convention Centre, as part of WorkSafe Week. To be held on the 28th October, it is the largest conference of it’s type in the world. As usual, the conference features a range of eminent OH&S practitioners and academics, including keynote speaker Fiona Murie from the UK. A number of specialised workshops and panel discussions will also be held. We will be holding an exhibit at the Conference to raise awareness of asbestos in the in the workplace and to respond to any queries the Safety Representatives may have.

WotkSafe Week runs from 26-30 October and it’s the perfect opportunity for everyone to get up to date with the latest information on health and safety in the workplace.

Over 100 seminars and events are being held across Melbourne and regional Victoria. From conferences, educational seminars, and panel discussions to interactive workshops, displays, breakfasts and BBQ’s, there’s something for everyone.

Whether you’re a small, medium or large business, an office worker or labourer, an apprentice or manager, you could work in a milkbar or a multinational, Work Safe Week is for all Victorian businesses and it’s the fastest and easiest way to make sure you’re up to date and compliant.

Last year over 5500 people showed their commitment to improving workplace safety by attending the Work Safe Week seminars and events that were held across the state.

Throughout the week, you’ll hear from WorkSafe and other industry experts on a broad range of safety related topics, everything from the new OHS laws to manual handling, Return to Work, work-related stress, bullying, and health and wellbeing.
