Asbestos Insulation Board (AIB) ceiling tiles – tiles like these are frequently found in offices and other commercial buildings. Older tiles may contain asbestos or old synthetic mineral fibre (newer synthetic mineral fibre dissolves if inhaled) and should be considered a health hazard. Unfortunately these are often damaged by tradespersons accessing the ceiling space.

Soffit

Soffit is a word of French origin to describe the underside of  parts of a building, including ceilings, archways and eaves. Asbestos cement sheet can be seen here, most likely used to repair the original structure.

Infill Panel

Asbestos Insulation Board  infill panels are commonly found covering old fireplaces, but may be found in a variety of applications.
