Below some definitions for some commonly used terms associated with asbestos and it’s use.
Amosite – commonly known as brown asbestos, it is more dangerous than white asbestos, but not as bad as blue.

Soffit

AIB soffit.
Soffit is a word of French origin to describe the underside of  parts of a building, including ceilings, archways and eaves. Asbestos cement sheet can be seen here, most likely used to repair the original structure.
