This photo shows where the asbestos  rope gasket has been removed from the edges of door (the white areas) and sealed with PVC glue.

Stove with Rope Gasket

The oven door of this stove was sealed with an asbestos Rope Gasket. It had deteriorated significantly so that fibres are likely to have been released. Dangerous, loose fibres were also often used inside the walls and doors of ovens.
